Is this really distinct from Precocious Crush?
The only difference I can see is that, unlike that trope, this one specifically refers to cases involving a young boy and a teenage or adult woman. While that may be tropable if the specific combination of young boy and adult woman adds a dimension to the dynamic that isn't present when it's a young girl crushing on an adult man or a same-sex crush, I can't think of any way in which that's the case.
It really seems like it's The Same But More Specific and that all of the examples are already covered by Precocious Crush.
Hide / Show RepliesI might disagree with you, I think its a valid subtrope, but it needs a lot of work. I just redid the description, and I'm working on getting permission to clean it up. If you'd like to help that'd be great
There might be a valid trope hiding in there somewhere
I'd volunteer to help if I could see anything to distinguish it as a subtrope. Thus far, however, I have yet to see anyone explain what about this specific variation on the Precocious Crush trope makes it distinct from other examples of the trope.
At least from what I can see, this is about the specific combo of prepubescent boy taking advantage of a hot young womans maternal/feminine instincts to get lots of attention from her. I could be reading too much into it, but I believe that's a common enough variety to merit a subtrope.
I still haven't gotten a response on my request for approval tho :/
Edited by 93.209.14.247Hm... okay, I can see that being a valid subtrope. But if that's what it's about then it definitely needs a rewrite, because I didn't get that from the article at all.
I did rewrite it, mostly for grammar/coherence. Look at the YKTTW archive it was way worse before.
Options at this point:
A. rewrite it further (farther?) to make it into the trope I think it is
B. Cutlist/report/TRS/whatever this version and take my version to YKTTW (btw it looks like this launched with one hat in the first place)
Either way.
