The Children of Men example under live action film doesn't apply to this trope. Being new to this wiki, I don't know if it is all right for me to remove it for not being an example of the trope?

Would school shooting survivors count towards real life?
Like in the Robb Elementary shooting, a teacher had all of his students shot and he was the sole survivor of his classroom. Or at Sandy Hook, the teachers and 15 out of 16 kids were shot dead in one classroom leaving one survivor.
