Hm, does Maria in Final Fantasy VI count? In a literal sense, she's impersonated and you never meet the real one... but at the same time, it's different from how the trope is normally presented, as she is being impersonated by a previously-established playable character, and the player is fully aware that "Maria" is a fake the whole time.
