About the Sandman Delirium entry...I think someone missed the point. Here's exactly what Delirium says (recall that Mazikeen has followed Lucifer into exile, and is working as a waitress at Lucifer's nightclub):
"If you don't let me in, I will turn you into a demon half-face waitress night-club lady with a crush on your boss, and I'll make it so you've been that from the beginning of time to now and you'll never ever know if you were anything else and it will itch inside your head worse than little bugses."
In other words, "I'll make it so you were never a real demon who had substantial power within Hell." Delirium is basically threatening to bring Mazikeen down to normal. (Within values of "normal" that are appropriate for Delirium, of course.)
Hide / Show RepliesI think it's a Mind Screw, myself. Is she poking fun? Did she already do it? Who knows!
Nope, the point is that she's threatening to make Maze what she already is. It's a Mind Screw. This is Delirium we're talking about.
Y'know, it just occurred to me that Cosmic Retcon has been used a lot to describe massive changes to the timeline/reality of the world/universe of a work that are part of the intended story, which is wrong since don't count as actual retcons, as per the end of the page description.
Anyone know what the correct trope would be for those situations?
The picture....No. Just a face citadel and caption. And I watch Doctor Who.
Didn't this page use to have a picture of Superboy Prime? If yes, why was it pulled? If no, it should. I can't think of a more appropriate one.
This one◊?
Looking at the discussion archive, it appears it was pulled because it was hotlinked to Wikipedia. Heck, even Wikipedia deleted it, which is why I'm not sure I have the right image.
Everyone Has An Important Job To DoWent ahead and threw it in. You can always remove it, but, due to the way the way it is constantly mentioned in the discussion archives, and the fact that it is asked for here, I think we'd probably need to go to Image Pickin' if we decide to change it.
Everyone Has An Important Job To DoWasn't the Wildstorm Universe just a few years ago retconned as a result of the Capt. Atom: Armageddon mini-series? From what I've heard, most of the changes were fairly minor, but Gen13's backstory was pretty much completely rewritten (c.f. Gail Simone's run on that series).
Also, Savage Dragon has been retconned a few times (notably in #75 which lead to the "This Savage World" story-arc, as well as at the end of the recent "Emperor Dragon" story arc), but I'm not too familiar with all the details.
I feel like the Super Genesis Wave from Sonic the Hedgehog (Archie Comics) is one that doubles as a Continuity Reboot.
