Why the heck is this in the Invertebrate Index? I thought the trope is about mixtures of fish, reptiles and amphibians, all of them vertebrates.
EDIT: I simply removed it from that index.
Edited by Snicka"Note that there are some fish out there with amphibian and reptilian features (see the Real Life section). However, these real life creatures are still fish; any similarities to other classes are examples of convergent evolution. " - this is not entirely true. The classic reptile-amphibian-fish division has been heavily revised thanks to molecular taxonomy. Here◊ is a relatively simplified version of the current consensus tree. So no, the coelacanth and the lungfish don't have amphibian features because of convergent evolution - they have it because they are more closely related to amphibians than to other fish. Explaining this whole thing on the main page would take up too much space though. Should we set up a Useful Notes page for this?

Confusing reptiles, amphibians and fish is not the same thing as combining them. This feel like two tropes merged into one, and the latter is redundant with Mix-and-Match Critter.
Actually, I'm not sure if this is a trope or not. Confusing reptiles, amphibians and fish might involve giving them each other's traits, which overlaps with combining them, which is Mix-and-Match Critter...
