I'm not really certain if Secret of Kells (Western Animation) should count. It is about monks creating one of the most famous illuminated bibles, but is very vague on the specifics beyond saying that the book will give people hope and "turn darkness into light."
It also prominently features a fairy and a battle with a pagan deity.

I don't think works should be included here just for involving biblical or religious imagery or settings. Some of the works on this list are pretty decidedly anti-christian.
