... yeah, if you don't know the work then this image is ridiculously confusing.
As someone who's familiar with the concept of the work, it would be a lot clearer if the glowing blobs were more clearly identifiable as the kissing characters.
At best yeah, it's Just a Confusing Series of Images and a Caption (that probably means to link to FusionDance and not TheDividual because that makes no sense.

Really confusing page image. There's some third guy... and then glowing shapes that might be the characters kissing in the last panel if they were glowing and floating in another place...
So the links in the description make me think maybe the third guy split into those two? Although wait, that would only make sense if one of the links is totally misusing the trope it links to. Still not a good image.
