It says "Note that this is not about bypassing biometric scanners in general. This is about the bloody way to get around them.
Then where do we put all the examples of the non-bloody methods? Where the hero holds the unconscious mook's eye to the scanner, or uses a copy of the fingerprint? (There are a lot of those examples on this page)

Trope definition has since been expanded to include borrowed body parts by nonviolent means.
