Always do right. This will gratify some people and astonish the rest. — Mark Twain...oh, wait. I misread that. No, I love the exclamation points. ^_^
Always do right. This will gratify some people and astonish the rest. — Mark TwainThe comment about Thor is somewhat misguided. Yes, when in one of those big, all-out, Into-Glory-Ride-Valhalla-Awaits mass battles where the entire Asgardian army is fighting, yes, it's do or die, fight till the last breath, etc, etc. BUT...in smaller, one-on-one battles with supervillains, Thor is actually quite cerebral. He is OFTEN depicted as searching for ways to defeat a foe while fighting. He has, and will leave a fight if the odds are overwhelming. There is perhaps no better example of this as in Secret Wars #4 (1985). He's ganged up on by Dr. Doom, Ultron, Absorbing Man, the Wrecking Crew and more. He knew there's no way he's getting past them and plus, he has to go rescue the Avengers who were buried underneath a mountain. So he creates a lightning flash and makes his escape.
Anyone else think this trope name was actually better without the exclamation points?
