Reading the trope page for Wake Up, Go to School & Save the World, it looks like that trope is specifically about situations where a character's school life is much more difficult for them than their heroic life — which is rather the opposite of the case for Zorian.
I thought Fartov's name are really stand out from vague ethnicity names of his siblings, but I just google, and all of their names are somewhat slavic too: Zorian — Zorjan, Kirielle — Cyril (Kirill), Daimen — Damian (or Demyan). Last is a bit of a stretch, but definitely not Aeris And Bob, as I thought before.
