The videos in question were on two You Tube channels, and they all had the title 'Scott "Plays" [insert game title here].' They were all deleted yesterday for personal reasons.

I don't know if you're aware, but that's not the same Scott Plays. A quick watch through one of his videos or a glance through his playlists vs. what is stated in the article will confirm this. I won't fault you for thinking they are, but Scott isn't really an uncommon name, likewise with the "_____ Plays" naming convention.
Just to clarify, the Scott Plays videos were mine, and I had to take them down for personal reasons.
To corroborate what Light Phaser said, originally he let me host his videos on my You Tube channel, then he started uploading to his own channel. Personal reasons forced both of us to remove them though.

Re cut: Huh. I can see some You Tube videos that look like this. Declining the cut request until I am certain on whether the work is really gone.
