1) Just read it through from the beginning. It gets exponentially better. Otherwise there wouldn't be so many people following it.
2) The main page for Homestuck should point to the first page of the webcomic, if I recall correctly. Start there. It will take you the entirety of a long weekend, if you read quickly.
3) The plot is meant to be utterly insane. Just power through it; anything you don't understand will probably be explained later. Trying to look things up only guarantees that you'll get spoiled.
4) Read at least until the End of Act 2 before you decide the story is Not Your Thing.

Homestuck looks interesting, but it also looks and sounds really crazy and confusing. Is it worth looking into? And if it is, where should I begin or how do I get into it?
