Ares101, would you care to explain why you keep removing Superman from the Type 5 weight class?
I have a small issue with putting Mr Mxyzptlk and Bat-mite in the level 7 category. If I remember correctly, Worlds Funnest is non canon and assuming we are only taking canon sources into account, Mxy and Bat-mite should probably be a level 6.
As for the Watchmen category, why is Ozymandias a level 3?.The third category is reserved for people with stock superpowers or functional magic and Ozy has neither. He solidly belongs at the badass normal level 1, like the rest of them sans Dr Manhattan.
Edited by 120.63.10.194 Hide / Show RepliesI think that World's Funnest is canon, just in an "exists above regular reality to the extent that everything turns relative" kind of way.
I'd just like to ask the source for where Superman Prime is outright called Omniscient, Omnipresent, and Omnipotent, if possible.
Hide / Show RepliesSupposedly, Grant Morrison said so in an interview, although the story where it was supposed to be written was canceled.
I tried finding a better source than that, but I've got nothing so far, although this page has someone who lists an impressive amount of feats to back up the claim.
Edited by 12.239.13.140It might not be a bad idea to change 'explicitly' to 'possibly,' then. Explicitly would mean that the powers are outright stated somewhere in the source material (especially the 'second only to the presence' part), unless the interview where that was stated is floating around somewhere.
The feats are helluva impressive. However, I don't think it equals Living Tribunal level weight just yet; it comes awfully darn close, though.
Edited by 158.130.203.245I would put him at level 6, until explicitly displayed othervise, as that side is just full of rampant speculation, along with some of Mister Mxyzptlk's and Bat-Mite's feats.
The Superman descendant from "DC 1000000" was much stronger than regular Superman, but his powers were not anywhere near 5th dimensional imp level.
Even if Superman Prime somehow reverse-causality gained the same powers as his descendant, crushed a badly damaged Solaris with a green lantern power ring, revived Lois Lane, and maybe studied under the Source, that doesn't nearly measure up to level 7/author level.
He also definitely wasn't omnipresent. He was stuck in the Sun after the events of "All Star Superman", supercharging from its power for 50000 years, but that's still "just" a star.
Even Mikaboshi was put at level 6, and even the 5th dimensional imps themseves were put at "sometimes" level 7.
Even if we got Grant Morrison's supposed quote confirmed, there is nothing in the comics that implies either level 7 or omnipresence.
Edited by 195.198.160.125"Possibly Type 7" would be fair, considering the fact that he's supposedly stronger than 5-D Imps.
Further, we're talking about after he emerged from the Sun, not before.
He is not supposedly stronger than 5d imps. That was never remotely implied. That page is full of wild speculation, and "welcome to my universe" is taken completely out of context. If I remember correctly, he welcomed the last survivor of a microverse to his home dimension.
The only thing we have to go on is that Grant might have said something, or he might not, but I put in "possibly higher" due to that. (And that I love what Superman stands for.)
Edited by 94.234.170.99Resorting some entries to comply with the new weight criteria. Don't worry, fans — I'll try to be conservative if they already fit.
