Let me be frank. The trope list has been taken down, and I don't foresee it going back up anytime in the near future. There are three reasons for this. The first and most important reason is that the list reflects an older version of the fic that's actually in limbo in terms of updates. As in, I'm working on a newer version where the majority of the trope list is irrelevant anyway (even though I'd also like to continue the older version of the fic because I'm crazy). Moreover, I currently don't have time at the moment to update the trope list to reflect the newer version, and I'd honestly rather have a list reflecting the new version of the fic rather than the old one to avoid confusion. Sorry about that.
Second, I created this list for my readers to update anyway—readers who actually expressed an interest in seeing a list of tropes. Except then I got this hilarious radio silence from my readers with regards to updates to this page, so there's that. I'm leaving the page up for them, but I'd rather not update it myself because that'd be rather silly and egotistical, I think. I'm currently trying to see if anyone would be interested. (Edit: But if this page ever gets unlocked—which I assume is unlikely—I guess I'll leave a few generic tropes up like Alien Invasion and whatnot. But again, that's unlikely because of the third reason.)
Third, ehh ... I sort of don't take this site super seriously anymore anyway. Sorry, folks. I don't really have a better way of putting that except in that it's got a rather discouraging atmosphere going on. Like, you could think you know a trope well enough to add it to a page, but then someone comes along and takes it down with a note telling you that, no, actually, the meaning was changed last week. I like TV Tropes as a concept, but I don't think I have the time to defend my decisions on what tropes go onto this page, much less keep up with what each one means or is named. Not at the moment, anyway. (Edit: Hence the note about leaving up the very generic tropes that are difficult to argue against.)
So yeah. If you read the newer version of the fic and want to compile a list of tropes, feel free. But just don't revert this page just to tell me I'm wrong somewhere here.
