In Job Behemoth and Leviathan are purely zoological description of real Dinosaurs, the entire point God is making here is undermined if their not part of the natural world.

latter Levithan is sued idiomatically of Satan, but so are other real animals used symbolically.

No real dinosaurs had seven heads or breathed fire like Leviathan. Behemoth is too vague to say.

I hope you don't believe the ancient hebrews and the dinosaurs lived in the same era. Also, no dinosaur ever had extra heads or other eldritch abilities.

Should some of that excessive detail with Abrahamic God be removed? I mean, some of the things such as never dying, controlling your destiny, and being omnipotent are pretty much common to gods from all religions, yet God's entry treats it like those elements are only common to God and no one else.

Most gods are NOT immortal or omnipotent. Polytheistic gods can be killed by monsters or by each other, and they are not all-powerful reality warpers. And no, most of them don't control destinies. Some religions have a specific sub-group of gods (i.e. the norns and the fates) who are the only ones with that ability.

YMMV, but i don't think Jormungandr, Iku-Turso and the like are eldritch enough to qualify. They're basically just ludriculously big animals.

Okay, I asked this a few years back on a different page, I'll ask again. What are the sources for putting Amatsu-Mikaboshi in here? I've searched far and wide and there's really no such portrayal of him in any material that would in any way be directly linked to mythology (as opposed to, you know, modern videogames and comics). It's just one of a bunch of minor "bad" deities in Shinto, who had the gall to not submit to the good ones (which probably means the guys who worshiped them liked their political independence a bit too much for their own good).

I just feel that the entry here is just a bunch of SMT and Marvel fans attempting to give real-world weight to a story they liked. It ticks me off when people try to hijack mythology like this.
