I guess the new King of the Dinosaurs trope would fit best; the T. rex was presented as one of the most dangerous monsters Rahan fought (and that's saying a lot) and it couldn't be beaten with his usual trusted weapon, but through a dangerous tactic.

Dunno...I mean, you can easily find the comics in France, but I'm not sure if they've ever been translated into English. ...For the record, there was also a French cartoon based on the show. I'm sure the intro could be found on You Tube, but I dunno if anyone has uploaded episodes.

Actually, you could find full episodes of the show on You Tube, though I am not sure if it, or the comic were ever translated in English.
