On the spelling of Malik's name: It is indeed supposed to be "Malik", an Arabic name meaning "king", with the pronunciation "muh-LEEK". The problem arises in the lack of the letter "L" in the Japanese language, so it was, in the Japanese version, always spelled and pronounced "Mariku". This translation got roughly brought over in the English dub and other translations, pronounced as "MAH-rick", which is NOT an Arabic name, or, as far as I know, a name in any language at all. I'm loathe to just go in and change every instance of his name, but seeing "Marik" in context other than when referring to the dub just irks me. Thoughts?
If you mess with me, I'm putting the beatdown on you.
Don't mess with me.
