They're antagonists, albeit with a limited role, since they were sent to Earth to infiltrate it and prepare it for an invasion. To my knowledge TV Tropes also doesn't delve into what might have happened had a narrative gone differently. That's the realm of fanfics.
Should the blue and yellow symbiotes be counted as Venom's enemies? You could argue they would be after Venom's Heel–Face Turn, but they're dead before that happens. For all we know they could have also made a Heel–Face Turn if they found a suitable host.
