Bastard Boyfriend: Subverted. The morally questionable (and sometimes, outright reprehensible) things Yan Wushi does to Shen Qiao are done long before they became a couple or even started developing feelings for each other. But after Yan Wushi becomes genuinely attached to Shen Qiao, endless teasing aside, he never mistreats him again and is affectionate and gentle towards him.
