So both this page and the "Major Villains in The New World" page are starting to get kind of bloated. Since they're inevitably going to have a LOT more entries and tropes added, does anybody have any ideas of how we should divide them going forward? Maybe an "Emperor's crew" part 2?
Edited by mhj0808 Hide / Show RepliesNo, we have decided to put the 3 sweet commanders to Major Villains like what we did with individual Vinsmokes and individual Donquixote Family. Don't revert it again. Please.
I'm also thinking of moving Pudding there but there's also the possibility of her turning good, so I'm not gonna do it for now.
We don't need justice when we can forgive. We don't need tolerance when we can love. Are we really going to trope almost every Charlotte family members? I think only Cracker and Pudding deserve their own folder, the rest could be in one folder (and be put in Organizations and Crews).
I also kinda question adding folders Randolph and Bobbin, though I'm kinda biased against the latter cuz I don't see him that often.
We don't need justice when we can forgive. We don't need tolerance when we can love. Hide / Show RepliesI agree. There's way too many folders here, and most of them probably won't even have that many tropes dedicated to them.
Are we really going to be like the guys at the One Piece Wikia and give a folder (well, page, in their case) for literally every notable character we come across?
We don't need justice when we can forgive. We don't need tolerance when we can love.Hello. I'm the guy who just cut all of those Big Mom characters. Sorry for jumping the gun but it was clearly getting out of hand (Seriously Anana of all characters?). Anyway, even though I might have gone a little overboard (Perospero will definitely end up doing something later), why were Bobbin and Randolph added back in? I know Bobbin was one of the first members we've met, but so far he just looks like another member of the crew. And it looks like Randolph's role in the story is pretty much done for now. Obviously we can add them if things change, but so far it just looks like more bloat.
I'm sorry, my edits overlap yours. At least I've put the infos on most of Big Mom's children in one folder.
I was meaning to merge Randolph and Bobbin's folders as well, but I decided not to for now.
We don't need justice when we can forgive. We don't need tolerance when we can love.I added links to Pudding and Cracker's folders since they're important to the story. But if anybody wants to put them back here, I won't be opposed.
Also, taking out Bobbin and Randolph. Their tropes should be under "other members", they're too minor at the moment to have their own folders.
Edited by mhj0808Should the Charlotte Family gets its own folder or should we leave it as is for now? I personally believe they should have their own folder: not only are several of Big Mom's children not pirates, but because they're such a big family with so many character tropes, I get the feeling the folder will end up talking more about the family than Big Mom's actual crew.
Hide / Show RepliesThere aren't that many info about most of the family (except perhaps Pudding), so we can leave it like that for now. But when we get more infos, we should move them to the Organizations and Crews page.
We don't need justice when we can forgive. We don't need tolerance when we can love. We're getting closer to "enough infos" now.
We don't need justice when we can forgive. We don't need tolerance when we can love.I think we have enough on Brulee to give her her own, maybe Perospero but not as much right now.
Does Jack qualify as Stupid Evil?
- Stupid Evil: The Minks are perfectly willing to cooperate with Jack in locating Raizo at first, if for no other reason than to avoid unwanted trouble. Rather than hear them out, Jack's response is to attack them and raze their city until they bring him something they don't have to give him.
I added this entry for it a while back. It was removed last month with the stated reason of "Insane doesn't equal stupid, and Jack is clearly batshit insane."
My understanding of the trope is that Stupid Evil doesn't actually regard intelligence, just doing evil deeds when doing so would clearly be against our own interests. Heck, if anything insanity makes him more likely to apply not less. The reveal that the Minks were lying to him doesn't really affect it either, I think, since Jack never seemed to care one way or the other. That might change pending some reveal that Jack knew the truth all along, but nothing he's said or done seems to actually say that, to my mind.
I PM'd the troper who did the removal but haven't heard back since last week. I tossed it into the "Is This an Example?" Thread, since I don't see discussions active much, but I think it got overshadowed by others. So, with that in mind, I'm asking here for consensus before I re-add so I don't get caught up in an edit war.
Edited by sgamer82 Hide / Show RepliesSorry for not replying earlier; I intended to reply earlier but kind of forgot about this issue until I came here again to add another topic. Either way, looking back at the manga and the aforementioned arguments, I do agree that he qualifies.
How should be divide up the Germa 66 characters? It's becoming obvious that eventually we're gonna have to give them their own folders, especially when we learn more about 1 and 2. Should each member still be on this page or should all of them be under Others or.....
Hide / Show RepliesFor now, a folder for the whole Germa 66 is enough

I didn't notice until I'd already submitted to the cut list but this pair has a huge number of inbounds. Given that, would be preferable to undo the division of the page into give pages some by another troper, Eddy 1215, set up some kind of redirect, or follow through with the cut?
