* StupidEvil: The Minks are perfectly willing to cooperate with Jack in locating Raizo at first, if for no other reason than to avoid unwanted trouble. Rather than hear them out, Jack's response is to attack them and raze their city until they bring him something they don't have to give him.

I added this entry for it a while back. It was removed last month with the stated reason of \"Insane doesn\'t equal stupid, and Jack is clearly batshit insane.\"

My understanding of the trope is that StupidEvil doesn\'t actually regard intelligence, just doing evil deeds when doing so would clearly be against our own interests. Heck, if anything insanity makes him \'\'more\'\' likely to apply not less. The reveal that [[spoiler:the Minks \'\'were\'\' lying to him]] doesn\'t really affect it either, I think, since Jack never seemed to care one way or the other. That might change pending some reveal that Jack knew the truth all along, but nothing he\'s said or done seems to actually say that, to my mind.

I PM\'d the troper who did the removal but haven\'t heard back since last week. I tossed it into [[http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13543987200A54420100&page=82#2044 the \"Is This an Example?\" Thread]], since I don\'t see discussions active much, but I think it got overshadowed by others. So, with that in mind, I\'m asking here for consensus before I re-add so I don\'t get caught up in an edit war.
