Does Jean in English really sound that much like a woman that it merits Vocal Dissonance? I never got that impression. Most people notice his accent more than anything.
Hide / Show RepliesFemale voice actresses voicing young boys are nothing out of the ordinary in the realm of anime and video games, or any TV media in general, so I don't see why it would be thought as Vocal Dissonance?
It's not just a boulder, it's a Rock. :^)Cross-Dressing Voices is very common. I know that Jean is voiced by a woman, I just think that he sounds more like a fully-grown female character more than the likes of Bart Simpson, Ash Ketchum, Timmy Turner, etc.
To be honest, you are the only person I see to think that. I have looked through many reddit and some of twitter, and nobody ever thought that Jean sounds like a woman. Like Perentie said, if anybody says anything about his voice, it is just his accent.
Okay then. I am still entitled to have that opinion, but I won’t re-add it.
I'm planning on adding Sean and Anje to this page, but since I've only played through the game twice, I'm having a difficult time thinking about what tropes suit those two as they're minor NPCs.
