My Name Is Not Durwood is no longer a trope. Is there a trope for this?

My Name Is Not Durwood: Pope's gang referred to her as "Maggie", the 2nd Mass however all call her Margaret. Notably, Pope still call's her Maggie.
- In her first episode, she even makes a point to tell Hal that her name isn't Maggie.
- She seems to be more accepting of the name by season three. Even Tom and Hal call her Maggie now.
