Removed from main page, as there is a cleanup effort on one of the pages linked here underway and I am not sure what to do with this entry:

SPOILER

I have just noticed that there is some similitude between Meicoomon and the Lopmon line. There is the correct line of evolution that includes Meicoomon, a supposedly true Meicrackmon and the true Ultimate form, Razielmon, an angel. Likewise, there is a corrupted line that includes the feral Meicoomon, Meicrackmon Vicious Mode and Raguelmon, a fallen angel. Seems like they created Meicoomon to serve as an Expy or a Suspiciously Similar Substitute of Lopmon, as if to make the connection not that obvious.

Meikuumon's Evolution (spoilers, of course)

What happens at the end of Determination is not an evolution, but rather something akin to a Mode Change. Even though Meiko's Digivice glows when the transformation occurs, what really happens is that Meikuumon simply assumes a more feral mode (I guess the closest comparison here is Belphemon with its Sleep and Rage Modes). Meicrackmon is the Digimon shown on the poster for Confession and is not the same as the being at the end of Determination. The trailer clearly shows Meicrackmon with all its differences to Meikuumon's feral mode, depicted earlier in the trailer. On top of that, Meicrackmon has been confirmed to be Meikuumon's actual Perfect, confirmed by its -next 0rder- DLC appearance.

I'm just bringing this up because there are some glaring inaccuracies in the current descriptions. So, to recap: At the end of Determination, Meikuumon undergoes something akin to a Mode Change, and actually super-evolves for real in Confession.

Thank you for reading!

As of yet, it is not explicated whether Meicoomon's transformation is a Mode Change or (Dark) Evolution, as neither phrase was uttered; what seems most probable to me, based on what Tri and Next Order depicts, is that Meicoomon did Evolve into Meicrackmon.

For the time being, I recommend leaving the page descriptions as being anything along the lines of 'Meicoomon Evolved to Meicrackmon', and only to be adjusted if and when it becomes clear that something else is up.

It appears you have misinterpreted my post. (remove spaces from the slashes to see the images, hotlinks apparently do not work)

http:/ /orig01.deviantart.net/dacf/f/2016/127/9/9/meikuumon_evil_by_mlpdesertwolf-da1md77.png This is still Meikuumon, except a Mode Change into a more evil, feral form of itself. Compare it to the 'standard' one and the image below.

That's the difference I wanted to clear up. What happens at the end of Determination, again, is not an evolution, since the real evolution is happening in Confession this September.
