I don't think Five-Man Band applies to this series. Derry Girls is a sitcom. It's not an adventure show, and the characters don't work together to solve problems using their different abilities. No character is obviously stronger or smarter in a way that involves consistent application of those abilities (so there's no The Smart Guy or The Big Guy). Erin is the closet to The Leader in that she is the protagonist, but she has no consistent foil (or The Lancer), and she doesn't always lead the plots (depending on the episode it could also be Michelle or Clare). James also isn't The Heart, which is a prerequisite for being The Chick. Just having a group of five characters is not enough for a Five-Man Band.
