I don’t want to get in trouble for edit warring, but I did mean Walt in the first episode of s5, just linked (with retconned subtext) who he was reminded of. Sorry if that wasn’t clear.

Ah. I would rephrase then, or remove the link

Why was the You Are What You Hate deleted? I can source that he was meant to be breaking down like Chuck if needed.

Should "Viktor St. Claire" really be its own section when it could simply be a part of Gene Takavic's section?

The name "Viktor St. Claire" is just an alias, and the character is always referred to as Gene, whether in-universe, or on other news articles or wiki entries.

I’m not on computer right now, but the writer for the last episode said Viktor counts as another character.

"Viktor counts as another character"

This statement seems more metaphorical than literal, as the character is still referred to as Gene and not Viktor.

“He can’t be Gene anymore. Now, he's a whole other creature entirely. He's not quite Saul, he's not Jimmy. He's the guy who's drugging people and stealing their money.“

Searching this quote online brings up an interview by TV Guide. At no point in that interview does Thomas Schnauz, the writer of said episode, ever say "He can't be Gene anymore".

Furthermore, Thomas Schnauz posted on Twitter that episode's storyboard where the name Viktor is only mentioned in one cue card.

With this, I see no reason to have "Viktor St. Claire" seperate from "Gene Takavic".

There's this and Variety where he says there's a new character after this, plus just generally, he has so many tropes of his own, is it really worth just folding it back into Gene? He broke after the Kim call, and it's so different to how he's been, and Saul is just armour for Jimmy if you wanna get technical.

I believe it is worth merging the Viktor and Gene folders.

Additionally, the personas "Jimmy" and "Saul" are technically two different characters in two seperate shows (albeit in the same universe), so this would not be the same example.

"It's also interesting that he chooses to go by Viktor when he's doing this scam. That identity is very deeply tied into his relationship with Kim. Clearly, he's thinking about her. Schnauz: Yeah, it's a real stew up there. It's a real mix of Jimmy, and Viktor and Giselle, and Saul Goodman. He's doing whatever he can to cover up the hurt."

Insider Podcast: "He was hiding as Gene. He was getting along, [phone call with Kim talk], and he can't just be Gene. He can't go back to being Gene."

I still feel like it would have been best to separate, but I don't want to edit war so.
