I pulled this entry, because a) it seems like Not A Subversion and doesn't describe the powers. Plus, it seems fairly questionable to use this trope for already existing powers.

Shonen Upgrade: Subverted, as Rin has had his powers all along. All he needs is to unlock (and learn to control) them all.

Is Shiemi really a main character? She is Rin's love interest but is not really more important than the others. I personally considered the whole students as main characters but if they are separated like this. I think only Rin and Yukio should be considered as main characters.
