Pulled this:

  • Humanoid Abomination: Subverted and kind of inverted. They certainly don't look human. But, their mental landscape seems set more towards "social ape" than it is to "velociraptor" — and, before you start saying how unthreatening fellow apes are, try teasing an adult baboon with a stick without getting ripped to shreds. They can breastfeed (well, up to a point: you'd not want them to after a certain size). They prefer cooked meat over raw. They take a long time to grow to adult. They can work as a team and be taught(if they're not yelling at each other or anybody else). Tellingly, they also can read people, given an incentive: quite accurately in a few cases. For magical creatures who can't talk, they're surprisingly uncryptic.

The dragons do not look humanoid in the slightest (the fact that they exhibit some human behaviors doesn't count), and they aren't really a clear case of abomination either.

In terms of the dragons having some human traits, I'd ascribe it mostly to a combination of their being Bond Creatures as well as Dany reading humanity into them. I will admit that there is perhaps something in the fact that Dany "birthed" them after losing her human child and that the body of said human child looked dragonish- but that really more suggests the Targs are part-dragon rather than that Dany's dragons are part human.

Basically, the dragons to Dany are basically the same as the direwolves to the Starks, and if you wouldn't list them as humanoid abominations (I hope you wouldn't), you wouldn't list that for the dragons either.

This is entry... is dumb. Honestly. They are unusually smart magical animals. That's it. Nothing humanoid about them.

It is sometimes an appropriate response to reality to go insane.

Plus, that's some major misuse of Playing with a Trope.

Yeah, I tried to answer that one seriously, but it's like such a huge nonexample that I'm puzzled that it was added in the first place.

Gods that new image of Dany is hideous.

Should Daario be on this page? I think he should be included with the rest of the Stormcrows.
