Should we separate the anime movies and western animated movies?

Um, how does Toy Story 3 qualify for a "bittersweet" ending? In the end, the toys come to terms with the idea that they might not see Andy again but they still have each other through the good times and the bad—plus, they now have a new owner who will play with them until it's time for her to pass them down to the next generation. If that's "bittersweet", you might as well claim that Shrek had a bittersweet ending because Fiona doesn't get turned back into a human and will have to live the rest of her life out as an ogre (which completely ignores that she comes to terms with this and goes on to have a happy marriage with Shrek).
