I pulled the VillainWithGoodPublicity trope from the page. The trope requires that \\\"On the surface, this villain works within the system and commands a great deal of respect from the average citizen, but behind the scenes, they conduct all manners of nastiness.\\\" Brodie doesn\\\'t work within the system, and there\\\'s no evidence that the average citizen respects him. There\\\'s not even any evidence that the \\\"average citizen\\\" even knows who he is. Those that do probably fear him, but fear isn\\\'t the same as respect. He\\\'s certainly got the nastiness, but he doesn\\\'t have the veneer of respectability the trope calls for. I\\\'ll try to figure out which trope does apply to him -- probably KarmaHoudini or one related to it.
