**For people raised on postmodern secular ideology, this game is [[MoralEventHorizon Darker than Dark]] just for the Old Testament nature of the only group with any ethical boundaries at all. One of this troper\'s roommates (a 20-year-old college student) actually threw his controller against the wall and refused to play the game any more after finding out token [[StoicWoobie Stoic Victim]] Sten was not only completely guilty of and felt no remorse for the crime for which he was imprisoned and sentenced to die, but so archconservative as to make Rush Limbaugh look like Timothy Leary in comparison. \

Even in the first discussion with Sten it should become clear that he DOES regret his actions. Why else would he have stayed at the farmhouse for days afterwards and quietly submitted to arrest? His entire motivation to join you is because he wants to [[TheAtoner atone for his crime]] or [[DeathSeeker die trying]].

Because he\'s not an example of being KickedUpstairs. That would be if he used to be the prime minister, but someone promoted him to the purely symbolic figurehead position of Emperor to get him out of the way. [[DidNotDoTheResearch Read the actual trope page before adding representative gods, please.]]

Re: original characters: if you mean someone from your own or a friend\\\'s original works, then \\\'\\\'technically\\\'\\\' yes...but only if they absolutely the \\\'\\\'\\\'\\\'\\\'best\\\'\\\'\\\'\\\'\\\' example of that trope or archetype in action, and even then, if someone comes up with a better representative, they\\\'ll be replaced. Keep in mind that they must not only fit the trope well, but be reasonably well-known in pop culture. So unless you or your friend are a seriously well-known author/artist/whatever, probably not.
