Airbending and Avatar State? Not asspulls. Those were foreshadowed and alluded to all along; honestly it was weirder that she \'\'hadn\'t\'\' gotten the Avatar state yet. Airbending was simply DieOrFly. And the Avatar using the freaking Avatar State is about as MasgicAIsMagicA as you can get.
