** There are (or at least used to be) quite a few enemy {{NPC}}s in the \\\"classic\\\" [[VideoGame/WorldOfWarcraft WoW]] zones with a sub-type of Water, which no spell or skill affected directly, unlike the other sub-types (such as Humanoid or Demon). This type was to appear more frequently in the first planned expansion, which [[WildMassGuessing one can presume]] would have taken place in the Maelstrom, had the whole idea not been apparently scrapped.
** Cataclysm will finally be adding more Naga involvement, underwater areas, and underwater mounts. Though the Naga Queen Azshara, who according to lore is the most powerful mage of mortal origin in existence, will still not be making an appearance. Some are hopeful that this is because they\\\'re saving a proper space for her in a later expansion.

Edit: Okay, Vashj\\\'ir (the Maelstrom region) is listed as an AVERSION further down the page. This can definitely be cut without worry.

Not familiar enough with the franchise to know whether the water subtype is a valid example, but \\\'\\\'Cataclysm\\\'\\\' and its Maelstrom region has been around for two years. \\\'\\\'If\\\'\\\' it\\\'s still technically an example (which I assume it\\\'s not), there\\\'s a lot of amendment needed.
