* In ItsJustSomeRandomGuy\\\'s Website/YouTube \\\'\\\'FanFic/ImAMarvelAndImADC\\\'\\\' sketches, this trope is played around with. Usually Type IV Wolverine says to The Comedian: \\\"Dissimile You kinda remind of myself at your age ... except I\\\'ve got ethics... and I\\\'m not a sociopath... or a rapist... you know what, maybe you remind me of someone else.\\\"
* Captain Hammer of \\\'\\\'DoctorHorriblesSingAlongBlog\\\'\\\' may look like TheCape, but underneath his dashing, larger-than-life demeanor is a misogynistic, self-centered, bigoted glory hound who\\\'s far more interested in his image than in actually helping people. This makes him the antagonist of the story, set against the nerdy, TechnicalPacifist, ShrinkingViolet protagonist, Dr. Horrible.
* Florence (Yami Bakura) of \\\'\\\'WebVideo/YuGiOhTheAbridgedSeries\\\'\\\'.
* Shadow the Hedgehog in \\\'\\\'SuperMarioBrosZ\\\'\\\'.
* WhateleyUniverse example: the Scourge, which in the distant past has destroyed entire galactic civilizations in its efforts to defeat Mythos monsters. Jobe Wilkins probably fits here, as well as in SociopathicHero.
* Cid Love aka Wrestling Jesus/Rantgodtv is someone that\\\'ll cross any line without hesitation, however he has spoken out against vloggers that have ebegged and those that have done shady activities according to him. He goes up and down the scale alot but for the most part he stays in this category.
* WebVideo/TheNostalgiaChick is a VillainProtagonist who has been confirmed as only slightly less awful than a quasi-demonic, intergalactic force of evil, but she still fought to save the world against an EvilLuddite with her friends in SuburbanKnights.
* Sonic in SonicForHire.
* The personnel of the Wiki/SCPFoundation.

!!
* \\\'\\\'WesternAnimation/SpongeBobSquarePants\\\'\\\':
** Mr. Krabs from between the SeasonalRot and the events of TheMovie.
* Mandy and Grim from \\\'\\\'TheGrimAdventuresOfBillyAndMandy\\\'\\\', the first is an EnfantTerrible and the other is death personified.
* Gaz from \\\'\\\'InvaderZim\\\'\\\'.
* Heloise of \\\'\\\'JimmyTwoShoes\\\'\\\', is an EnfantTerrible. The only thing that separates her from being a villain protagonist are moments of PetTheDog.
* \\\'\\\'WesternAnimation/Futurama\\\'\\\':
** Zapp Brannigan is a Type V AntiHero at best; a cowardly, vain, selfish and ignorant womaniser. Nonetheless most of the time he is working under the orders of the good guys, the DOOP, which, combined with his childish stupidity, just barely saves him from the status of VillainProtagonist.
*** You really did feel sorry for him when he was temporarily stripped of command, even though he deserved it. And then he went and blew your sympathy by being a prick about three seconds later.
** Bender is an extremely selfish kleptomaniac. However, much of this can be excused by the fact that he is a robot, often not fully understanding human needs and emotions. He also has sufficient PetTheDog moments towards his friends to keep him from VillainProtagonist Status.
* ConMan Eddy of \\\'\\\'EdEddNEddy\\\'\\\'.
* Duncan of \\\'\\\'WesternAnimation/TotalDramaIsland\\\'\\\'. Arrogant, capricious and absentmindedly cruel, but with standards.
** Eva and Jo count as well.
* Brock Sampson from \\\'\\\'TheVentureBrothers\\\'\\\' is a SociopathicHero with a license to kill and a case of UnstoppableRage. However, he is loyal to his friends, and seems to genuinely care for the show\\\'s boy adventurers. The same cannot be said for Doctor Venture, who has almost no redeeming qualities and falls into VillainProtagonist.
** By the end of the third season, he starts to question how easily he can kill someone. By season 4, he\\\'s mellowed into a Type III.
* WesternAnimation/AssyMcGee, a trigger-happy CowboyCop. Collateral damage is a horrendous understatement for the damage he causes.
* AeonFlux has a rather bizarre example both its protagonist and its \\\"villian\\\" technicaly fall under this trope durring various times. Other times they are straight up Villain Protagonists.
* Peter Griffin of \\\'\\\'FamilyGuy\\\'\\\', pretty consistently throughout the SeasonalRot.
* Bloo and Duchess (post-pilot) from FostersHomeForImaginaryFriends.
* Sergeant Harrison Yates from SouthPark.
** Also Shelley Marsh, Stephen, and Linda Stotch count as well.
* Eustace from CourageTheCowardlyDog sways between this, Type I, and outright villain, due to his FreudianExcuse.
* The second trilogy of sequel comics to \\\'\\\'WesternAnimation/AvatarTheLastAirbender\\\'\\\', \\\"The Search\\\", will have as one.
