I\'m not entirely sold on Synthesis being Writer On Board according to the page\'s definition, verses it just being a case of bad writing and an attempt to justify it to those who hated the original version.
I would argue however that Bioware presenting Synthesis as the best ending is a \'\'\'massive\'\'\' case of Unfortunate Implications, because you rewrite all life in the galaxy, without informed consent, or even uninformed consent from \'\'anyone\'\'.
Forcing such a choice upon a \'\'single person\'\' in reality would be regarded as extremely unethical. In ME3 what you get is tantamount to galactic-scale rape... and the way Bioware presents this implies they think this is a \'\'good thing\'\'.
Sure, the Extended Cut might pay lip-service to this, but it\'s extremely minimal and certainly wasn\'t there in the original ending.
