Sookie would\\\'ve \\\'\\\'probably\\\'\\\' forgiven him the cheating (after Eric explained the hold a vamp\\\'s sire has over them), if not for the revelation right on top of that that Bill was only with her to begin with on Sophie-Anne\\\'s orders. There\\\'s also the fact that Bill almost raped her (he was crazed by starvation, but still).
There\\\'s also a bit of difference between a make-out session and up and leaving your girlfriend without a word to go hook up with your ex/sire.
