And they could deal with plot threads that had been left hanging. For iinstance, in the first arc, the Xros Wars kids work with the original Digedestined from Adventure and 02 to fight Dragomon from the Dark Ocean. Then, in the Tamer ar, they help the Tamers find their Digimon partners. Meanwhile, the rivals would either be trying to fix the same problems yet doing so in a troublesomme, competitive manner or fighting on the villians side.
