I think this either needs to be converted into a useful notes page or it needs to be clarified what exactly the trope is. Is it a narrative device to build tension? The wibbly wobbly inconsistency in how long the shots take to arrive (that\'s what TravellingAtTheSpeedOfPlot is about)?

It\'s not exactly clear what does and doesn\'t count -- do non-hitscan small arms in a moderately tactical shooter? Or Helldiver\'s 3-5 second call-in, 1-second fuse 500kg bomb?

Is it defined by whether characters have time for agency \'\'after\'\' the trigger is pulled? Normals can\'t dodge a sniper shot or a normal arrow, but can see a RainOfArrows to raise a shield, or hear the whistle of artillery and dive into a ditch. Is time for an OhCrap enough?
