Trope definition and common usage (examples pages seem to contain obscure or unaestablished material, dubious premises met with skepticism etc) prevail over laconic everytime.

The expectation for the show started as soon as it was announced... the trope being YMMV would give it some room for leeway in any case.

Laconic pages are what they are , quick and uncurated quick snippets that can be used sometimes for quick reference and just as often are not in harmony with trope definition or missing key requirements because they were not made when the trope itself was created.

Trope definition and common usage (examples pages seem to contain obscure or unaestablished material, dubious premises met with skepticism etc) prevail over laconic everytime. Everybody can give their opinion easily these days, but the ones who would bet against a high-budget Tolkien fantasy in this age are an irrelevant minority, trope-wise.

\\\"I\\\'d like to propose Blizzard Entertainment for several reasons:

* \\\"Popularizing lootboxes through the success of Overwatch.
* \\\"The Diablo mobile game fiasco at [=BlizzCon=] 2018.
* \\\"The censorship of Blitzchung for voicing support of the Hong Kong Protests at a Hearthstone event, and the subsequent handling of the massive backlash received.
* \\\"The universally panned reception of Warcraft III: Reforged due to technical issues, changes from the original game, and false advertising, eventually becoming the lowest-ranked game on Metacritic based on user reviews.
* \\\"The recent allegations against Blizzard by a number of their employees regarding them being underpaid at Activision Blizzard while executives continue to see pay raises and bonuses.

\\\"All of the above has essentially tanked Blizzard\\\'s reputation and turned them into a developer as widely hated as EA, Ubisoft, and Konami. While we could add Activision to the list as well, Blizzard had much larger fall from grace than Activision did, and is usually at the forefront of the backlash towards the company nowadays. And considering how Activision has received a shitton of backlash over the years for many things, this isn\\\'t any small feat.\\\"

Now with the recent revelations about their abuse-laden workplace out in the open, I think they should be reconsidered for addition on this page. I\\\'m aware that they need to have done a \\\"bad game\\\", but I feel like \\\'\\\'Warcraft III: Reforged\\\'\\\' fits that \\\"bad game\\\" qualification for just how shitty it was.

I also think that EA\\\'s entry needs to be expanded upon, so that it would also feature \\\'\\\'Battlefront II\\\'\\\'\\\'s whole lootboxes fiasco, the failure of \\\'\\\'Anthem\\\'\\\', and the closure of studios like Visceral.

And I\\\'d also like to propose Ubisoft, mainly for their hostile work environment, but also because they released critically-panned games like \\\'\\\'Tetris Ultimate\\\'\\\', \\\'\\\'Ghost Recon: Breakpoint\\\'\\\', and \\\'\\\'Tom Clancy\\\'s Elite Squad\\\'\\\', for having games like \\\'\\\'Beyond Good & Evil 2\\\'\\\' and \\\'\\\'Skull & Bones\\\'\\\' stuck in DevelopmentHell, and how they ignore franchises like \\\'\\\'Rayman\\\'\\\' and \\\'\\\'Splinter Cell\\\'\\\', all of which have led to Ubisoft being regarded with little to no respect in recent years.
