When I started the TLP draft for this, it was originally titled \\\"Screentime-Ending Arrest.\\\" I originally intended it to be about villains getting arrested at the end of a work, but I decided to broaden it to anyone being arrested and not being seen again for the work, or at least one entry of a series. We also had a poll for the name, and this name won, so even though I didn\\\'t originally think of it as a \\\"PutOnABus\\\" trope, it kinda became one. I do think there are enough examples of characters being removed from the story by being arrested for this trope to stand on its own, though.
