I think the thing is that movement and range are just too big an advantage in this game. Arena scoring propped up armors (some would say artifically) for a looong time, but as AR came along, people realized that armors don\'t do well when scoring isn\'t a factor. Automatic follow ups were their thing, but now you have NFU, a ton of non armor units with follow ups, QR, etc. Now armors are really just infantry with 8 more bst, less exclusive skills, and a killer 1 movement, and armor weakness. The list of negatives of being an armor are way too numerous vs the strengths they still have. Special fighter is one of the few things that make them worth it sometimes.
