Does AI in Thief: The Dark Project (at least on Expert difficulty) qualify? If you alert a guard with a noise (not turn them hostile), even if PC was outside of their field of vision, even if PC was in the other room, even if PC relocates silently from the original stop, even if PC was in complete darkness in the new location when guard entered the room... Guards will still ignore sound\'s original position and beeline directly towards PC. This gets really ridiculous when PC is in the spot they can\'t reach (such as on a rope or rafter above them) - NPCs home to the closest position their pathfinding tells them, and be stuck there, looking into the void, until PC gives up and reveals himself or reloads game.
