With regards to Persona 3 - Aigis absolutely counts. The evidence for the pairing is fairly overwhelming. The love interest trope usage is heavy. There just hasn't been anything explicit saying whether they are or aren't together. If I had to guess, it's a case of gameplay-story conflict. The writers wanted Aigis to be the canon love interest but didn't want to explicitly discount player choices. So this was sort of meeting it halfway.
