I wonder why Scar from ''Manga/FullmetalAlchemist'' is not put in the examples. He has many character tropes that encourage this trope, such as AntiVillain, DarkAndTroubledPast, FreudianExcuse, JerkassWoobie, and WoobieDestroyerOfWorlds.
