Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
I'm pretty sure that no, Useful Notes do not get YMMV subpages. I don't know about the Laconic and Quotes pages though.
I can't find any policy/rule specifically forbidding it, but I would argue against UN pages having common works subpages.
Now, the Academy Awards qualifying as actual media with a works page ... I could see that.
I didn't choose the troping life, the troping life chose meI guess we might need to distinguish between the awards themselves, which are a UN page and the actual show which would fall under a television show?
The single example on YMMV looks to be misuse of Broken Base anyway, since both sides refer to people who dislike the show and I don't think those opinions are at odds with one another.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Quotes/ and Laconic/ are fine (well, Laconic/ is fine, but Quotes/ is full of complaining), but Useful Notes pages should not have YMMV subpages.
I discovered that there is a separate Useful Notes page for the ceremonies, which tropes the shows...
The plot gets thicker.
I don't remember if this question has been answered or not in the past, or maybe I just can't find a specific thing pointing to it. In any case...
Are Useful Notes pages allowed to have subpages? Because someone added a YMMV page to the Academy Award space, and I'm not sure if it's correct.
There's also a Laconic and a Quotes page as well.
