Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.

You want an index of Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies, not a namespace. You can do that by making part of the write ups for those two into an index and setting the page to creator+does indexing.
Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyIt's already set to work+does indexing. Now I'm wondering why those other series namespaces even exist. I guess I'll just throw them all in WesternAnimation/, then.
I'm not crazy, I just don't give a darn!Yeah, those are a misuse of namespaces.
Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyIn that case, it looks like another namespace migration is in order. Something to put on the to do list.
I'm not crazy, I just don't give a darn!I was wondering the same thing, too - as far as Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies went. The Disney/ namespace can probably stay - but it does seem senseless to have ones for TheDarkTower/, H2G2/, MagicTheGathering/, and HarryPotter/ (regardless of how popular the last of the listed is). All of them have less than 20 entries. Discworld/ has 42, though - which is a pretty large number. And there are probably even more for Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies.
To make matters worse, it looks like there's the possibility that the WesternAnimation/ namespace may end up being changed (to include Eastern Animation and other non-Anime animation, without looking like an artifact namespace). If it does turn out to be case, I hope it'd be transferred in the same manner as ItJustBugsMe/ was transferred to Headscratchers/.
Edited by movie007Discworld has it's own namespace because it seems to collide in the literature namespace with other works constantly. Not sure about the others.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickWhat were the collisions? I think it's more like Discworld and Harry Potter slipped through early before we got a proper handle on namespaces.
Edited by CamacanOff the top of my head, I know that Night Watch (or Knight Watch, I forget) was one, I specifically remember it happening on How To Split A Page.
Fight smart, not fair.
Is it alright to make new namespaces for specific series? Surely it would at least require mod approval. We already have HarryPotter/, Discworld/, and some others listed on the Namespace page, after all.
Specifically, I want to copy over specific Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies films to a new namespace that could be called LooneyTunes/. There are quite a few shorts with their own pages, so I don't think it would really make sense to put them all on WesternAnimation/. I could be wrong about this, though.
