I Thought Everyone Could Do That if Alice wasn't aware of her own skillfulness.

I had interpreted this differently, that Alice is an expert but humble, and Bob wants to do all the things that Alice does without nearly the same education and experience.
If my supposition is correct, it might point toward Bob being The Team Wannabe, The Chosen Wannabe, Lord Error-Prone, or I Just Want to Be You.
Alice does something with such skill that makes it look completely natural. Bob tries to do the same thing and fails miserably.
