"Buck" Rogers was made at the same time as the original BSG, and shares an aesthetic.

Maybe "The Satyr", which was an episode of Buck Rogers in the 25th Century?

That's what came up first when I searched Buck Rodgers flute episode, but a recap I found didn't mention the flute.

This episode would have been early 90's but likely the 80's. I swear it involved a character Captain Starbuck(s) ? but I have Googled all the episodes and can't find anything that sounds like it so maybe it has nothing to do with Galactica. Anyways all I remember is that the main character stops these kids from playing this flute. The music attracts something bad and the main character realizes that it's the flute music. My guess is some kind of monster. It was a creepy episode and I feel like it was a science fiction type of show.
