Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread

Depends if the movie is animated, for that matter. As some are and some aren't. Also, can't tropes be in multiple categories anyway?
If it’s a full-length movie I think it should be listed under Film.
And tropes can of course be listed in several categories, because they may have examples from different genres, but I don’t think the same work-specific example can.
I'm personally like putting them the
Films — Live-Action or Films — Animation
Media category. But that's what I think.
Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectI'd put them under Films, either Live-Action or Animation depending on the medium.
Kaito is an alien and he is kinda spacey, coming from the universe to party and go crazy!Yeah, Live-Action TV is generally for TV shows, not necessarily for "anything shown on TV".
^I think I've seen some inconsitency. Mostly in some pages in the Derivative Works/ namespace.
Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectMan I didn't even see the date of the OP
^ In the future you probably should just make a new ATT thread rather than bumping an old query
Does a trope example within a made-for-TV movie fall under the Film category, or the Live-action TV category?
