"I Know You Are in There Somewhere" Fight
Edited by eroock
There is a trope I see often when a character is possessed by a demon, spirit, etc., and as someone is about to kill that person, someone else (usually the protagonist) will scream not to kill the possessed person ... that the real person is still inside, and the protagonist can expel the evil force and save that person. My first thought is that the title would be some variation of "the monster inside" or "the devil inside", but in this case, the possessed person is usually inhabited by force and is either fighting it or unaware of it, so that sort of trope title would be misleading. Since this also happens frequently in manga and movies (one recent example involving June Moone in Suicide Squad), I can't possibly see how it would have been overlooked here. Thanks for any assistance!
